Week 1: First week of China has been really scary and eye opener for us. It seems/feels weird to see people littering all around. And even weirder to not being able to find any dustbin. I could still remember that all of us got very shock/happy/excited when we saw a rubbish bin along the street and even took out our camera to snap a picture of the rubbish bin!
Was very surprised to see their Black and White board in the class, the way the people live. Amazed at how they help to save the world by charging people 0.30 yuan for a plastic bag. Scared by how oily their food is. Getting use to calling cab drivers SHIFU and sales person FU WU YUAN. Took their bus for the very first time and it was.. pretty okay.
2nd Week: Saw people selling pets outside Toms World for quite a few times. I feel really bad for the pets especially those dogs under the rain. CANT THEY FIND A BETTER WAY TO EARN MONEY?! Celebrated the Lantern Festival in China, but it wasnt as fun on the actual day. No playing with candles, lantern and all.. unlike Singapore
3 gorges trip was awesome! Personally, i feel that the people who created the ‘lift’ for the ship is the best. They did that to control all the ships to prevent any incident from happening. The sceneries are the best damn thing too. I really pity those SHI FU(S) who’s sailing the sampan. 30yuan per trip shared between 6 people?!!! They worked so hard, used up so many energy under the hot sun/freezing weather, earning only 5 yuan? The tour guide gotta be kidding us… All the SHI FU(S) wanted is for their children to study hard and family to be happy. I SALUTE THEM.
Also, from the 3 Gorges trip, i came to know how unreasonable they are. I dont know if its just me, he china man or everyone else in China. Azrn was leaning on to a glass on who knows, the glass broke!!! Azrn didnt even do it on purpose and there’s no sign telling people not to lean on the glass or stuff. At first, i thought that its really kind of them to check if Azrn’s alright, asking if he’s injured. SUDDENLY, a man came out, asking Azrn to compensate for the broken glass. ?!?!?!?!?!?! I THOGHTAZRN SHOULD BE THE ONE ASKING FOR COMPENSAtION SINCE THERE ISNT ANY SIGN OR WARNING? Ended up, he had to pay half of the amount.
3rd Week: Life’s good in China. Went to Wu Dang Shan during the China’s Nation Day break. Up till now, im still wondering how do they build all the steps there? I hate those JIAO ZI because apparently we have to give way to them if not, they’ll just knock onto you. Another thing is that.. Is there any ambulance up the mountain or in the middle of the mountain? What if the people fall off the mountain? (hehe just went to google and couldnt find any incidents)
I really like how the people would sit outside their shop/house playing cards, smoking, chit chatting. How i wish i can be like them..
4th Week: I realized how realistic people can be. We went into a shop wanting to buy some stuff and the FU WU YUAN is serving 2 others caucasian. So when we question the fu wu yuan something, she told us not to bother her and stuff. She should at least answer us or say something nice rather than that right.
Lu shan trip!!!! The weather is really cold. I wonder how do the people survive in there. The fountain, mountain, sceneries are really nice
I like how they think of new ways to earn more money such as the ducky rides 10 mins for 15 yuan, telescope for 2 yuan, photo shot and all.
5th week: Do we really sound like we’re from Guang Dong? Do we really look like we’re from Korea? Hahaha last week of China. Their karaoke rocks as much as Singapore’s. Or maybe thats the best karaoke in China 8) The people in China always go out early and comes home early. Apparently, there will be very little people along the street after 10pm and most of the shop will be close by 930.
Saw a fight between some foreigners. A girl went to beat up another girl and the guys didnt even stop them. No police cars and nobody went to stop them. If its in Singapore, things will be different i guess.
